Elcie Seraphin was born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti on April 7, 1966 to the late Elin Seraphin and Philomene Almonor. She was the first of her mother's children. Elcie married her childhood sweetheart Ferere Leandre and had her first child Ferranti Leandre. Their union continued and after moving to the United States in 1993 they had two more children Andrelle and Ferry.
She was a strong minded and considerate individual. Soon after her mother’s death in 2004, she became ill. As time went on her condition worsened, but through it all she remained strong. She still managed to maintain her household as well as work part-time as a CNA. Elcie was a very loving woman and her strength was admired by everyone around her.
Unfortunately Elcie and her family suffered the tragic loss of her son Ferranti Leandre who died in 2014 just one day after his birthday. Needless to say, she never fully recovered from his death. In October 2016, her health declined drastically and she spent months at a time in the hospital. After battling with Lupus for several years Elcie Seraphin passed away on August 27, 2017. As we lay her to rest we will celebrate her life and the cherish the years we spent with her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving husband Ferere Leandre; beautiful children: Andrelle and Ferry Leandre; Sisters: Myriam, Geraldine, Yvonne, Christine, Suzanne, Margaret, and Gladys; Brothers: Jean, Francis (Gogo), and Jocelin; a host of family and friends.
